LATELY

Hello sweet friends! Shockingly, it has been over a year since I have touched this blog. Quite honestly, for a while I just lacked any inspo. I am also definitely one to vary on the social media outlets I use. Sometimes I want to post a lot of Insta stories, sometimes I'm in the mood to make Tik Toks, and sometimes I want to write a blog post. It just seems to be hard to keep up all at once. Nevertheless, I am here, now, so let's talk about LATELY!

Here's what I've been loving:

I have been pinning all sorts of recipes on Pinterest lately! I really have been wanting to teach myself to be a better cook for my boyfriend (and for myself.) I have already told his mama AND his brother's girlfriend, who are both great cooks, to just make me a couple of cookbooks of P-approved recipes! Peyton has some pretty significant dietary restrictions (no bread, no cheese, etc.), so I really want to be able to have a compilation of meals that we can both enjoy, considering these restrictions. Let me know if you have any that you would like to share! I'll share my Pinterest here, but I'll warn you, I am no Pinterest queen. My account is just some messy boards of things I want to remember!

Stoney Clover Lane has opened a store on 12 South in Nashville which is just PERFECT timing because they also just released their American Girl collection and I am enthralled! My LANTA it is all so fabulous. Though I will say, and this may just be because I am too young here, but the classic dolls they are featuring are not any that I actually loved as a little girl. Kirsten, maybe... but I mainly read Kit, Julie and Caroline (of course) books. I own a Just Like Me doll and the Caroline historical figure doll. Caroline was never a huge hit for the company and Julie came a little later, but I am quite surprised Stoney Clover did not include a Kit line. I always considered her very classic. But, oh well! I still think they are all very gorgeous and will be visiting the new store downtown very soon!

Ok, this one isn't really a surprise. I have grown up in a New England style home (thanks, Mama!) but the older I get, the more I personally love it. I used to tell myself, "When I get my own home, I will do something completely different and trendy," but now that I am in my 20s, I have realized that classic is best (at least for me). I am obsessed with every New England home I see on Instagram and Pinterest. I just stare at them in awe and long for the day when I have a house all of my own to decorate.

4 // FALL WARDROBE

Fall time is my favorite time for outfits, period. This one doesn't need much of a description, other than the fact that I am obsessed with every outfit lately with the changing of the seasons. I am so grateful now to have a job where there is no dress code and I can express myself through style, surrounded my clothing I love! A small joy in my life has been getting to get up each morning and pick out a cute outfit for work... with no restrictions! Let me know in the comments or by DM if you would like for me to post work OOTDs!

I have been obsessed with the Tik Tok account @simpingforpudgy. It features a young girl and her dog, Madi, who is a rescue who makes the cutest faces and "OOWA OOWA's!" I LOVE this little scrappy pup. I can't explain it. Madi literally smiles with her owner and it's delightful. Boosts your serotonin, fo sho.
